Vallico
A simple, three-storey stone house, set around a courtyard of a few other houses, a few short walk from the centre of the town of Fabbriche di Vallico. The town, located in the mountains, has shops, bars, and restaurants, a regular market, and is full of original stone houses, car-free paths, and of course wonderful views.
The house, which is close to the church, is probably one of the oldest in the town, built we think around 1641. There are pretty brick arches above the doors and windows, and old exposed beams in many of the rooms.
On the entrance level is a kitchen/living room, simple and generally unrestored, yet fully usable, and with a low stone sink and a working fireplace. Enclosed wooden steps lead to a small, modernised bathroom, and a double bedroom on the first floor. On the top floor is a larger room, currently arranged with 2 double beds. There is some attic storage and underneath the house is a further storage cantina for wood, although too low to convert into another habitable room.
